Volunteers?
- If your child is absent, please call the school's safe arrival number, 231-5036, before 8:30 a.m.
- Send in a written excuse (emailing office is acceptable: Mrs. Fritz at [email protected]) for your child's absence upon returning to school.
- If you have a planned absence, you must submit a trip form for approval prior to the trip. Request one from the office.
- Spring Creek Absences
Arrival?
- Parents dropping students off should use the main traffic loop in front of the school.
- Walkers and bikers will exit at dismissal from the exterior Gym doors.
- Bus riders and parent drop-offs and pick-ups enter and exit through the main front doors. No other doors will be used for arrival or dismissal.
- Arrival time is 7:55-8:09 am. If your child arrives after 8:09, you need to park, walk them to the building and sign them into the office. Please remember your child needs time to walk to the classroom and get settled before we start the day.
Birthdays?
- Let's celebrate! We love to celebrate birthdays! Feel free to send in a treat to celebrate your child's birthday. Of course, this is optional.
- Let Mrs. Mamolen know when you would like to send the treat so that we make time in the schedule and do not have any conflicts.
- If your child has an August birthday and would like to celebrate at the beginning of the school year, we would love to do that. If your child has a June or July birthday, we can celebrate their upcoming birthday in the last couple weeks of school, or we could do their half birthday! Just contact Mrs. Mamolen to get it scheduled!
Breakfast?
- Students may eat breakfast at school if needed. They do not have much time as our schedule is tight, so if they do need to get breakfast, please be sure they arrive in time. Arriving at 8:10 then wanting to eat breakfast is not enough time.
- Students take their breakfast to the classroom and eat there.
- Free breakfast is provided to all again this year!
Dismissal?
- I MUST send your child home according to their regular dismissal plan unless I have a written note from you stating otherwise. Please send in a note with your child. If I don't have a note, your child will be sent home per their normal plan. I cannot just take their word for it!
- If you have a change during the school day, you must call the office with the change in plans. Emailing me is not the best for this situation as I do not always have time to check my messages during the day and may not see that your child has a change for dismissal that day.
- Students will be dismissed at 2:55. Bus riders enter and exit through the main front doors. Parent pick-ups will enter and exit (for drop off and pick up) through the main front doors. Walkers and bike riders will exit through the exterior Gym doors.
Donations?
- If parents are interested in donating, we always welcome paper towels (select-a-size are great!), tissues, Clorox wipes, all sizes of ziploc bags, individually packaged snack items for class snack stash, or individual bottles of water.
- If you'd like to check it out, here is a link to Mrs. Mamolen's Classroom Wishlist on Amazon.
Lunch?
- Our lunch time is 11:39 a.m.-12:09 p.m. daily.
- If you would like to join your child for lunch, you may do so. You can pack or purchase a school lunch. If you want to purchase a school lunch, please send a note with your child or call the office in the morning and let us know the lunch that you would like ordered. Please arrive in the office as close to the beginning of your child's lunch period as possible. You can then meet your child in the cafeteria.
Recess?
- We will go out for recess daily, as the weather permits. Please be sure your child has shoes and outerwear appropriate for both the weather and for running, climbing, and playing.
- Our morning recess is 30 minutes and is from 10:20-10:50 a.m.
- Our afternoon recess is 15 minutes and is from 1:05-1:20 p.m.
- Winter recess:
- Will be outside if the real feel temperature is 18 degrees F or higher.
- Children must be dressed for the weather!
- To be permitted to play in the snow students must have: winter coat, snow pants, winter boots (separate from shoes to wear in school), hat and waterproof gloves (please not the little thin woven gloves -- they are not appropriate for snow play, and fingers are red and frozen). If they do not have these items, they will not be permitted to play in the snow. If students do not have winter boots along with a change of shoes to wear in the building, they will not be permitted to walk in the snow and will have to play on the cleared blacktop areas only.
Snacks?
- If you would like to send a small snack daily for your child, you may do so. Snack is optional, of course.
- Send snacks that are easily consumed and not too messy.
- Please do not allow your child to bring candy as a snack.
- Periodically, please send in a class snack (individually packaged items) to share in the event that students forget to bring snack. I like to have a supply and don't want any students to go hungry if they forgot. Thanks!

Volunteers?
